Fort Miamis, three miles from the Battle of Fallen Timbers. A small park marking the site is currently located near the intersection of present-day Detroit Ave. and River Rd. in Maumee, Ohio. The British fort was brought under siege by Wayne’s Legion after the battle. Neither Wayne nor the British commander wished to start a new war over a fort and after several days, Wayne withdrew his army upriver and constructed Fort Wayne in the fall of 1794.
